ADAM-GH is planning a peaceful protest on October 15, 2023. They’ve notified the Ghana Police Service and the Minister of Interior about this.
The demonstration is a reaction to what they perceive as unlawful arrests and detentions of citizens during the #OccupyJulorbiHouse demonstration. They believe the police failed in their duty to protect the demonstrators.

The group is also drawing attention to the tragic incident during the 2020 general elections where eight innocent Ghanaians lost their lives. They feel that no action has been taken against those responsible.
They’re also addressing allegations made by a Member of Parliament about the Vice President’s knowledge of a journalist’s killers and concerns about selective justice by the police.
ADAM-GH emphasizes the right of citizens to protest without needing to seek permission from the police or any other state institution. They’re protesting to highlight the alleged denial of this right. They also plan to submit petitions to the Ministry of Interior and the Inspector General of Police.

The protest will start at Obra Spot at Circle, proceed through the Sankara interchange to the Ministry of Interior, then to the Police headquarters.
Finally, they will address the media in the police inner court. The group is committed to a peaceful approach in seeking their goals.
