Black Stars Striker Felix Afena Gyan Spotted Training Intensely Ahead of New Season

Felix Afena-Gyan, the AS Roma prospect, started working out with his personal trainer in preparation for the upcoming season, switching to “serious mode.”

In the just finished season, Afena-Gyan had a breakthrough campaign, scoring two goals in 22 appearances across all competitions for the Rome-based side. With the World Cup approaching, he has been linked with a loan move to Serie A’s newest team, Lecce. He wants to get more playing time.

Felix Afena-Gyan, a teenage superstar from Ghana and AS Roma, has started making serious preparations for the next campaign. The 19-year-old forward made a dramatic climb to first-team play last season, netting a brace for Serie A heavyweights AS Roma on his debut.

Additionally, he scored his first goal for Ghana against Madagascar in the 2023 AFCON qualifications, and earlier this year, he assisted the Black Stars in qualifying for the World Cup.

Afena-Gyan was pictured working hard on the beach with renowned Ghanaian personal trainer Leonard Akoto in a snapshot shared on Twitter and seen by Sports Brief as he prepared for the forthcoming season. The Sunyani-born forward, who has struggled to hold onto a spot in Jose Mourinho’s squad, would like to log more playing time for the forthcoming season.

The Italian Serie A season for Roma under Afena-Gyan will get underway on the road against Salernitana. Nico Schira, a transfer market expert, revealed that talks between AS Roma and Lecce are advanced, and the young player has been suggested as wanting more playing time with the World Cup in sight.
