On its prepaid metering system, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has informed customers that the problem with the third-party vending points has been fixed.
“Customers can now acquire electricity credits at their nearest vending points, and all ECG District offices, including tomorrow Sunday, October 2nd from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm,” the power distributor stated in a statement.
Customers were also reassured that the company is “working diligently to restore the Power App for a better and smooth service provided.”
For several days, many ECG customers had difficulty adding credit to their prepaid meters via the ECG App or vending machines.
Some clients were left stuck by the circumstance, and some businesses also suffered losses.
All district offices’ hours of operation have been extended by ECG in response to complaints from clients.
