- Next, enter the required amount for the replacement.
- Then, input your full name as the reference for the transaction.
- A summary of the transaction will appear for your review.
- If the details are correct, select 1 to confirm.
- Finally, wait for a prompt to authorize the transaction or check under ‘My Approvals’ on *170#.
Once the transaction is successful, the applicant will receive an SMS with the payment reference. This SMS should be shown at the point of payment, as per EC’s instructions.
The EC believes that this initiative will significantly expedite the replacement process, making it more efficient.
