Gabriel Nartey Kwao, a bolt driver, has shared some sad experiences and encounters with some of his passengers, as well as how he deals with them.
Fuel prices in Ghana have risen four times in four weeks, causing chaos throughout the country. Fuel price increases have resulted in an increase in transport fares in Ghana.
In an interview with SVTV Africa, the bolt driver revealed that he has devised plans to curse customers who cancel their rides for no apparent reason. According to him, his decision to curse some passengers is motivated by the increase in fuel prices as well as the effects these canceled rides have on their driving score.
Further explaining, the bolt driver revealed some challenges they face as bolt drivers, indicating that some canceled passenger trips affect their driving score, causing them to run at a loss.
If you do not accept a ride order from the app, your activity level drops. However, the rider sometimes cancels the ride and reports that I asked them to cancel even after I accepted. Meanwhile, I never asked them, and the score suffered as a result.
When this occurs, the driver is ejected from the system. These days, I don’t take such things lightly. “I’ll curse you if they don’t find a reasonable excuse for me and send me MOMO to compensate me for wasting fuel to get to your destination,” Gabriel explained.
