Kurt Okraku re-elected as Ghana’s FA president

At the GFA 2023 Elective Congress, Kurt Okraku was overwhelmingly re-elected as President. He faced no opposition and won an astounding 97.5% of votes from the 120 delegates present. Only two voted against him and one abstained.

This strong support emphasizes Okraku’s role as the leader of Ghana’s football body and shows the delegates’ trust in him.

George Afriyie, initially expected to oppose Okraku, was disqualified. Legal issues led to the elections being moved to October 5 from September.
