Even though Leo Messi is the greatest player in football history, it seems like he still doesn’t get enough credit.
The training facility for the Argentine national team was renamed after Messi on Saturday. The first significant Leo-related item is this.
The first one is Cristiano Ronaldo International Airport, which is situated on the island of Madeira, where the Portuguese player was born.
The second and third items are Praca CR7 and Museu CR7, the Cristiano-named plaza and museum, both located in Madeira. On this plaza, the museum is situated.
One of the earliest and farthest galaxies is the Cosmos Redshift 7 (CR7) galaxy, named after Ronaldo. Since some of its researchers were from the University of Lisbon, it’s possible that naming such a massive space object after Cristiano was mainly their idea.
Barcelona will undoubtedly dedicate a street or plaza in Messi’s honor, but this is obviously insufficient to catch up to Cristiano.
❓ What else would you name after the GOAT?
