Relationship disappointment is not unusual, but the greatest kind of betrayal someone can go through is being abandoned at the altar on their wedding day.

That was the situation faced by Ghanaian musician Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko, better known by her stage name OV, who recently shared details of how one of her previous relationships ended. Her intended spouse left her at the altar.

According to a report by Adomfmonline, OV revealed during an interview with Angel FM that her fiancé called off their wedding the day before it was scheduled to take place.

“I was about to get married, but I was stood up. I was in my wedding gown, my make-up and hair were done, and my family was waiting at my godfather’s house, which was the venue,” she recounted.

Despite withholding the year, she claimed that a text message caused their breakup. She claimed that although the experience devastated her, she eventually managed to move past it.

“I suddenly received a text from him telling me that he couldn’t marry me anymore and was travelling abroad, but I think he had already left. I was hurt and disappointed, but I’ve moved on since then,” she said.

Asked if there was a possibility she could get back with this ex-lover, OV retorted, “We may get married and do everything alright but I will mafia him.”

When she competed in and won MTN Hitmaker season 7, OV gained notoriety and is credited with songs including Shush, Want Me feat. Stonebwoy, and Forward.
