
According to a statement on the Ghana Police Service’s official Facebook page, the police in the Ashanti Region have started looking into the circumstances surrounding the death of a female adult, Akua Serwaa Kyei, on August 3 in Atwima Bebu.
According to the report, the victim’s husband found her unconscious in the back of their home when he got home about 17:30 hours. He hurried her to the hospital, but she was pronounced dead when she got there.
He claimed that a television had been stolen and that their living room and bedroom had been looted.
No windows or doors in the residence had been broken into, according to the Police Crime Scene team’s initial evaluation of the incident scene.
So, when the deceased body was examined at the hospital, there were no signs of violence or a gunshot wound.
Since then, the body has been placed in the mortuary for preservation and an autopsy as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The police have met with the deceased’s relatives and are collaborating with them to identify the situation’s root cause and apprehend those responsible.
The family has also been contacted by the Inspector-General of Police via telephone, and he has assured them that the situation will be thoroughly investigated.
According to the statement, a Police clinical psychologist has also been appointed to the family to help them through these tough times.
