Samini calls out Sarkodie for exploiting fellow acts, details encounter with the rapper

Rapper Sarkodie is the target of shocking accusations from Ghanaian musician Samini that he takes advantage of other artists when they work together.

On September 24, 2023, Samini said in an interview on TV3 that Sarkodie had exploited musicians for his own financial advantage, saying, “Tell me one track from Am Wey e Big alone like that.”

When asked by the host if Sarkodie uses everyone as much as possible, Samini replied that since he did the same to him, he was certain that he did the same to others.

He continued by saying that he believed collaborations were what helped the business grow and pleased the audience, which was why he sought out.

It is for the fans, I don’t need you to make me relevant and you don’t need me either. it is collaborations that make the fans happy. How is it okay for you this small boy to ask me questions about the song and leave me blue ticks till the project is over and months and years after that I had to talk about it on radio before you talk about it and even that you shrug it off like it is nothing happened. Like what?” Unhappy Samini quizzed.

This public dispute stems from Samini’s earlier allegations that Sarkodie had ignored his request for collaboration on the 2021 Burning-EP. When Sarkodie was questioned about this in a radio appearance, he brushed the issue off.

Samini claimed that he provided his part for the song “Love Rock” without payment, but when he required Sarkodie’s assistance, he was turned down.
