Tacha, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, has slammed the 2023 Headies organizers.
On Sunday, September 3, 2023, the 16th Headies Award was held in Atlanta, Georgia, for the second year in a row.

In response to the news, the reality star from Port Harcourt expressed disappointment in the award organizers for organizing the ceremony in the United States for the second time.
The Big Brother Naija star remarked in a social media video that it was acceptable that the Headies were held in the United States last year because Afrobeats had only begun to make waves in the country.
She, on the other hand, argued that the award ceremony should no longer be hosted in the United States.

Tacha compared it to the BET Awards and asserted that it would never be held in Africa.
She also recounted how African singers were previously given prize trophies backstage at the BET.

Tacha finished by calling it a “colonial mentality” to believe that the United States is the greatest site to hold the Headies Awards.
