‘Travel and tour artistes’ – Shatta Wale mocks colleagues struggling for audience abroad

Controversial Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall musician, has backed Fameye after the latter bemoaned the lack of support given to Ghanaian acts abroad.

Fameye admitted on the “Day Show with Berla Mundi” that he was upset with the poor attendance at his event that was held in the United Kingdom. He attributed the occurrence to the absence of support from Ghanaians living abroad.

In a tweet, Shatta Wale encouraged his followers to applaud Fameye and said that if he had made the same remarks as Fameye, he would have faced accusations of disliking his coworkers.

In another piece, he singled out a few “A list” performers, saying that if five of them had banded together to raise awareness of the issues, the business would have advanced significantly.

for August 17, Shatta Wale sent a message thanking Nigerian musician Asake for a spectacular performance at London’s O2 stadium while making fun of his other musicians in the business for falling short of such heights.

Industry professionals reacted negatively to the post and claimed that Shatta Wale had undermined rather than upheld his peers.
