Amid his suspected divorce from his wife, Rosy Meurer, Nigerian philanthropist Olakunle Churchill has given some insights on people’s reactions to good news.

Remember how a renowned blogger stated that the couple had split up owing to infidelity and domestic violence?

The blogger claimed that Churchill had been physically abusive to his wife and had been away from their shared home.

Despite Rosy’s professed affection for her husband, the site stated that she was the family’s principal breadwinner.

In a recent Instagram post, Churchill complained that people often remain mute when they hear positive things about you, but their attitude is different when it is negative news.

He stated that while good news is not always welcome, negative news spreads rapidly.

Churchill added that as he can’t control other people’s thoughts or perceptions about him, he has channelled his energy into personal growth and self-improvement, focusing on his journey.

In his words, “When people hear good things about you, they stay silent. When they hear bad things about you, they spread it like wildfire. When they hear nothing about you, they make things up. However, it’s important to remember that you cannot control what others say or how they perceive you. Instead, focus on being the best version of yourself, and concentrate on the journey, the same mouth that bites you will celebrate you.”
