Popular Ghanaian YouTuber Berthold Kobby Winkler Ackon, often known as Wode Maya, and his longtime Kenyan lover Trudy got married on September 10, 2022.
In a YouTube video that documents the entire wedding, Wode Maya is heard saying, “I’m the only groom who will get dressed at the back of a car.”
He also mentioned that the day of the wedding saw him receiving his wedding attire for the first time because his mother was in charge of having it delivered.
“My mother is the sole sponsor of this outfit. She informed me, “You know what, on this day of your life, I want to bring you the clothing that you are going to wear,” even though I had never seen the clothes before. They brought the garments from Ghana this morning, and I’m only now getting to see them,” he said.
Wode Maya, eager for this new beginning, has no qualms whatsoever about giving off his freedom.
“Today’s the day, I’m selling my freedom, freedom of movement…and I’m ready to sell my freedom because I’ve had this freedom all my life and its time to sell it off,” he added
