Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo arrived in Qatar on Thursday to watch the Black Stars play Portugal.
The Black Stars kick off their World Cup campaign in Group H against Portugal at Doha’s Stadium 974.
President Akufo-Addo and supporters boarded a Qatar Airways flight out of Accra on Wednesday evening.
President Akufo-Addo and his delegation were greeted at Hamad International Airport by H E Ibrahim bin Yousif Fakhro, Director of the Protocol Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mohamed H E Noureddine Ismail, Ambassador of Ghana to Qatar.
His arrival will provide a significant boost to the team ahead of Thursday’s game against Portugal.
Ghana will then face South Korea in their second group game before facing Uruguay in their final game on December 2.
