LUTON ENGINEERING SERVICES is HIRING GENERAL MANAGER – HR

JOB OUTLINE:

The General Manager HR will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling all aspects of Human Resource operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

Develops and implements HR policies, procedures and systems tailored to the needs of the organization as well as educate staff to enable them gain a better understanding of the booklets/manuals.

Establishes HR systems and programmes including employee data management, payroll systems, and HRIS implementation.

LOCATION: GREATER ACCRA

Oversees the preparation and execution of annual training programmes covering in-house, local and overseas training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

Develops and implements succession and career development plans for critical roles within the Company.

Serve as a trusted advisor to Management and employees on HR-related issues.

Acts as a strategic business partner to all the departments within the Company to ensure the Company gets the optimum best from its employees.

Liases with Departmental Heads and Line Managers to prepare orientation programmes for newly hired staff and co-ordinates the execution of such programmes to integrate new hires smoothly into the organization.

Design and implement performance management systems to drive employee productivity and development.

Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits packages.

JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field from a recognized university or its equivalent.

A master’s degree in Human Resource will be a plus

Certification such as SHRM-CP, CHRMP, SPHR is a plus.

At least five (5) years of progressive experience in a senior HR management role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry with a focus on setting up the Human Resource department from scratch.

Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives.

Exceptional leadership and management abilities.

In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal requirements.

Familiar with emerging human resource trends.

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook
