NPP National Executive Elections: 47 Aspirants Approved To Take Part In Contest On July 15 [FULL LIST]

The national executive elections for the ruling NPP, scheduled to take place in Accra from July 15 to July 17, are all set. For eight open posts, including national chairman and general secretary, a total of 47 candidates are running.

According to a statement made public on Thursday, Peter Mac Manu serves as the party’s National Elections Committee’s chair.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has given approval to about 47 candidates to run in the party’s national leadership elections for a variety of positions.

According to a document sent by the party on Thursday, although 49 candidates chose to submit applications to run in the elections, two later withdrew their names.

According to the announcement, “Two prospective candidates for the positions of National Women Organizer and National Youth Organizer, namely Abena Osei Bonsu and Klinsman Karikari Mensah Tumfuor, respectively, have withdrawn their decisions to contest.”

The statement continued, “The National Elections Committee of the New Patriotic Party, chaired by Peter Mac Manu, has recommended the following persons to participate in the next national officers’ elections scheduled for July 15–17 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Greater Accra Region.

On Monday, June 27, 2022, at 10 am, the Electoral Commission (EC) will oversee voting for positions on the Ballot Paper. Aspirants must go independently or with their committed Agents. The National Headquarters, Asylum Down, will serve as the meeting place.
