Key Responsibilities

Purpose

In order to offer high-quality programs and meet the goals outlined in the National Office Strategic Plan, it is imperative that sponsorship, grants, and other resources are handled in accordance with WV Ghana and WVI policies, processes, and standards. This will demonstrate leadership and management to AP personnel and partners.

Major Responsibilities

  • To achieve the aims for child well-being, make sure that ADP’s annual planning and budgeting processes are carried out in a way that involves all partners (government, churches, children, local NGO, CBO).
  • Manage the cluster’s development and grant programs and projects in a timely and appropriate manner, following the guidelines provided in DIPs, LEAP budgets, and other planning documents.
  • Manage the cluster programs’ baseline and assessment procedures while adhering to WVI, Ghana, and WV standards, instruments, and guidelines.
  • Enforce responsibility and stewardship by making sure that material and financial resources are used effectively and efficiently within the cluster programs in accordance with WV Ghana-related policies and procedures and for the intended purpose.
  • In order to meet the targets for child well-being, assist in the integration and execution of transition plans, disaster preparedness plans, and the establishment of local institutions (CBOs, FBOs, District Assembly, Municipal Council, State Services, etc.).
  • Make sure that programs for community transformation appropriately incorporate sponsorship and child protection guidelines.
  • Assure the Area Program’s personnel capacity and skill development as well as performance management, which includes prompt performance reviews and appraisals (AP).
  • Develop and maintain networking connections with leaders of important partners in the government, church, and faith-based organizations.Create and send accurate, timely, and high-quality monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual ADP financial and narrative reports.
  • Make ensuring that audit recommendations are promptly addressed, implemented in their entirety, and that the Head Office Audit Manager and Regional Operations Manager are informed of any updates on a quarterly basis.

Staff Capacity Building

  • Give newly hired employees an orientation on the policies and processes related to finance.
  • Determine the needs for staff finance training and implement a plan for capacity building.
  • Refer to the results of your partner’s financial capability assessment to determine their financial learning needs as a team.
  • Encourage mentorship and financial education among partners.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Educational level required: BA/Bsc Degree in Economics, Agriculture, Business Administration, Development studies/planning, Social Science or other related field Masters Degree in one of the above preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (Preferred)
  • 5 years in programme/project management
  • Working experience in community development is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Good partnering people management skills Good analytical skills.
  • Experience in budget execution of not less than $500,000/year.
  • Good financial management and budgeting skills
