Residents of different communities in the Ashanti Region pursued the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency while armed with a machete.
Residents who were disturbed by the terrible state of the roads protested against the legislator, Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, on Wednesday.
Three years ago, the Wiawso-Antoakrom road was milled for rehabilitation.
The road was clogged with potholes, which hampered traffic flow in the area.
According to neighbors, the contractor has not been to the site since the beginning of the year.
The MP faced stiff opposition in three communities: Kobeng, Seidi, and Amanchia.
The Amanchia village leader refused to attend a meeting where the MP was supposed to hear the community’s concerns.
Emmanuel Agyei, on the other hand, advised his constituents to exercise caution.
