“Marriage should be contract renewable after 5 years” – Kumchahcha suggests

Controversial Ghanaian preacher Prophet Kumchahcha has proposed that marriage should be governed by contracts for the benefit of the participating parties.

His recommendation is that every five years, couples should reevaluate their marriage to see whether they are happy to continue or not.

Speaking on Onua TV in response to numerous marital issues that occasionally result in the murder of spouses, Kumchahca hinted that the interests of both parties would be safeguarded if marriages were contractual and renewed every five years.

Kumchacha prayed that if he had the authority, he would pass laws that would not just protect women but also made it simple for anyone to leave a marriage if they didn’t want to.

“If I had the chance, I would beg God to make marriage a legal contract.” It should be limited to a five-year term with the possibility of extension.”

“It’s a blunder to participate in incest.” Having sex with your own child is one of the most compelling reasons to engage in incest. We need a law that says men who sleep with their own children should be castrated.”

The suggestion was made by Kumchacha in response to the murder of Nigerian gospel singer Osinachi.
